Our Services

One To One Support

We work directly with a young person; building positive and supportive relationships with them and through this intervention empowering them to address their presenting needs and concerns. Our one-to-one approach will create regular and consistent contact with a young person which will create positive relationships to assist, guide and support young people. Our approach allows a young person to build capacity and resilience as well as gaining emotional, behavioural, and practical support. Our programme will also promote development and enhance life and social skills to each young person referred. We design a specific plan for each young person to help facilitate their needs; our activities range from arts and crafts to outdoor activities such as Zip Lining and High Ropes.

Supervised Access Support

We provide a positive and safe environment for children to meet with their non-resident parents. Our aim is to support, maintain and develop the relationship between the child and their parent, as long as it is in the child’s best interest. Our service facilitates supervised access either out in the community or a safe place of choice.

Home Support Service

Our home support service provides families with specific support tailed to the family’s needs; to enhance the family’s well-being, life skills and strengthen parenting capacity to help ease problems later in a child’s life. We believe early intervention is key to sustaining positive relationships within the family to help maintain children at home. We focus on the needs of the family and set achievable goals to help reach a positive outcome.

Wraparound Service

Our wraparound service provides a family strength-based approach which responds to children and young people who experience behaviour or mental health challenges. Our approach emphasises on placing the child and family at the centre. We aim to build on individual and family strengths to help families achieve positive goals and improve the overall well-being. The young person and their family work with us to build their wraparound team, which can include the family’s friends, school, and people from the wider community as well as providers of services and supports.

Teen Parenting Support

This service allows us to support teenage parents through our Teen Parent Programme; working alongside young people who become parents under the age of 20 years; we understand and support expectant mothers and young mothers . We believe supporting young parents up until their child reaches two years of age will benefit both the parents and children. We promote and nurture their educational, emotional, and social well-being.

Facilitate Transport

We believe that transporting children to and from school, access, meetings, activities, can be difficult for children in care. At Rock we can assign one worker to work directly with a family to provide this. Through daily interaction, we build up a professional relationship with the young person and through this intervention we can empower them to address their needs, concerns and help them to make the right decision.

Special Emergency Arrangement

We understand that placing a child in care can be a daunting experience for young people, therefore we aim to provide the young person with a positive experience that will enhance their well-being, help them to become resilient and allow them to make the right choice. This is a single occupancy unit. We can reside this type of service in a semi-rural setting, promoting a quiet and therapeutic environment or we can relocate our staff to a location of choice agreed with the referrer. We ensure to provide a safe place for young people to reside for a period of time until a more suitable placement becomes available.
